License

MetaPortAPI works free on demo accounts. A paid license (Retail, Professional or Unlimited — see pricing) unlocks live accounts and higher limits.

Install your license

1. After purchase you receive a file named MetaPortAPI.lic by email.
2. In MetaTrader 5 open File → Open Data Folder and go to MQL5 → Files.
3. Copy MetaPortAPI.lic into that folder (keep the exact name).
4. Within a minute the EA picks it up — the Experts tab shows MetaPortAPI license: PROFESSIONAL license for account 12345678, valid until 2027.10.28.

The file is encrypted and signed; editing it makes it invalid. It is tied to the MetaTrader account number on your order (Unlimited licenses work for every account), not to a computer, so you can move the account to any PC or VPS.

• Free works on demo accounts only. Each session runs for 7 hours; after that every command returns ERROR_ID 9002 and streams stop. Restart MetaTrader 5 (or re-attach the EA) to start a new session. SESSION_SECONDS_LEFT in /v1/license shows the time remaining.
• On a live account without a valid license every command returns ERROR_ID 9001 (License required).
• An expired license falls back to the Free plan.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically and you receive a new license file each period; cancel any time before the renewal date. [CUSTOMER PORTAL LINK]
